studentofrhythm This has become one of my favorite records of all time. I listen to it constantly and it takes me to a great hall with bright colors. Excellent arrangements, instrument choices and performances. The swing, the buzz, the squeal of this wonderful music are on delicious display here
E. Karnonou
E. Karnonou thumbnail
E. Karnonou Beautiful early music with a sublime array of timbres from the various instruments. I especially love the hurdy-gurdy and organetto (aka portative organ). Forget all the pseudo-medieval synth music that's popular. This is the real deal: Genuine music written in the middle ages performed on period instruments. The mood ranges from celebratory to mysterious but never corny or contrived. For fans of Hesperion/Jordi Savall, Oni Wytars and the like. Favorite track: Laudar vollio per amore.

hallowedhalls Recommended listening for those curious about medieval music, played and arranged beautifully here. Favorite track: Sia laudato san Francesco.

"A very well-made album both in its design, concept, recording and playing. It's medieval music at its best, it is the precursor to all and an album you want in your collection!" (The Bagpipe Society)

"The pieces are extremely well-performed, and are pleasantly raucous and riotous... a thouroughly enjoyable disc." (MusicWeb International)

Falsobordone is one of Sweden's foremost medieval ensembles. This record with music from France, Italy and Galicia (performed on bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy, harp, rebec, medieval lute, percussion, organetto - and vocals) was first released back in 2003 and has since become a classic. The two core members of Falsbordone, Anna Rynefors and Erik Ask-Upmark, invited many friends to join them and the result is an invigorating and entrancing recording that has received rave reviews from all over the world.
